	/808 is equipped with a male receptacle plug that must be connected to a line cord appropriate for local use. (Line cord not included) The BC190/808 power adapter comes with a universal plug that requires an additional line cord. Also the PM8907/808 has the same universal plug since the introduction of the Fluke 190 series. These adapters are designed for users who travel frequently, and therefore have a switch to select 110V or 230V input voltage. To be able to use these adapters on different systems they come with a universal plug (same type of connection as you find on the rear of a bench computer) this plug requires a locally supplied line cord. Because the most common type of power plug used is the North American power plug, it was decided to include a separate North American line plug, that fits the universal plug directly.
	Choice has been made to not add a full power cable but to add an adapter to convert the universal plug to a plug that fits the USA type of power socket. Reason is that it is more compact, and not all the ScopeMeter boxes have space left for a complete power cable. Since Monday April 14 2001 all ScopeMeter products shipped from the Almelo factory that contain the universal adapter BC190/808 or PM8907/808 (also Fluke 123 and Automotive) come with the additional line plug. Since March 1, 2002 also the "stand alone" BC190/808 or a PM8907/808, include the North American Line Plug
